1st July Cork (from Cobh)

Cork is Ireland's second largest city. Here you can visit St Finbarr's Cathedral, Cork City Museum and the 19th Century Cork Jail. A short ride away you can visit Blarney Castle, to kiss the Blarney Stone.

This was day one of the holiday and after a short trip across the Irsh Sea the ship docked at Cobh (pronounced Cove). First of all we decided to take the 20 minute train ride to have a look around Cork; Ireland's second largest city.
Cobh was actually the last port of call for the Titanic which suffered a fate that we didn't want to repeat.

By early evening we'd returned to Cobh where we spent some time exploring this lovely little harbour town.
