Stoneycroft Gill Bridge

Found on the Newlands Valley side of Newlands Pass, this bridge seems unremarkable and not dissimilar to countless other bridges around the country. Its setting on the other hand, could not be more spectacular. Above the bridge are the ever popular fells of Causey Pike, Rowling End and Barrow. For the real treat however, you must look across the valley; for this is quite simply a gorgeous area of countryside. Speaking for myself, this is my favourite of all the Lake District valleys.

The best time to see this bridge is after a period of torrential rain when the water from Stoneycroft Gill is forced through the arch.
